DRIVE ROAD TEST DURING COVID19

ROAD TESTS WILL BE COMPLETED AT MOTOR REGISTRATION CORNER BROOK. At this moment in time Motor Registration Division is not allowing any Road Testing in the Deer Lake area.

Motor Registration will currently only allow Driver Road Testing in Corner Brook. Please read our Driver Testing Covid 19 page for full details

LEARNING DURING COVID-19

During the Covid-19 pandemic our classroom setting will change. You will be required to completed a daily questionnaire regarding your current health symptoms and who you have been around. Classes will be restricted to 16 persons (1 instructor and 15students)

DAILY CLASSROOM TRAINING:

You will be required to practice social distancing. Classroom and washroom areas will be sanitized each day. Wearing of a mask will be optional. You must bring your own mask.

LEARNING PERMIT

If you are 15 years of age and almost 16 years old or if you are 16 years of age and have not yet been able to write your learners permit, you can still attend the classroom portion of the course. You can obtain your learning permit when Motor Registration Division reopens. This will not hold you back from doing the classroom portion of the course.

IN CAR DRIVING LESSONS:

Motor Registration Division has approved in car lessons with restrictions.

COURSE PAYMENTS

Deer Lake Driving School provides a payment program in which you pay for the services you are receive. Classroom training is a cost of $300.00 and in car driver training at $525.00. So our payment plan allows you the flexibility. If you are 6 months before you can complete you in Car Driving, you save on not having to pay until that portion of your training starts. Please remember, once you attend classroom training you are obligated to pay the full course amount just prior to your in Car Driving.

Requirements

You have passed your Learner 1 written permit test

You are going to write your Learner 1 permit test within 60 days

You must have parental/guardian signature if under 18 yrs of age.

TRAINING VEHICLE

Our training vehicles are less that 5 yrs old. Students are training in a modern SUV training vehicles.

Our instructors are trained and certified by Newfoundland and Labrador Motor Registration.
