CLASSROOM TRAINING and ROAD TESTS

ABOUT THE GRADUATED DRIVER TRAINING COURSE

The Graduated Driver Education Course cost is $875.00

The course permits you to obtain your license 8 months from your permit date, which is your eligibility date .

Students are required to complete 4 full days of classroom training.

All classes are completed on weekends.

All classes are held at the Holiday Inn Express - Deer Lake, NL

Classes are from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (you are on your own for lunch)

Once you have completed the classroom portion, your in car training will start within 60 days of your eligibility date.

LEARNING PERMIT

If you are 15 years of age and almost 16 years old or if you are 16 years of age and have not yet been able to write your learners permit, you can still attend the classroom portion of the course. You can obtain your learning permit when Motor Registration Division reopens. This will not hold you back from doing the classroom portion of the course.

ROAD TESTS:

Deer Lake Driving School has prescheduled appointments with Motor Registration. The Driver Examiner comes to Deer Lake to complete the Road Tests. They are currently being conducted on alternate Wednesday's. You will use our training vehicle and your appointment will be prebooked.

COURSE PAYMENTS

Deer Lake Driving School provides a payment program in which you pay for the services over the course of the program. Classroom training is a cost of $300.00 and in car driver training at $575.00. So our payment plan allows you flexibility. If you are 6 months before you can complete you in Car Driving, you save on not having to pay until that portion of your training starts. Please remember, once you attend classroom training you are obligated to pay the full course amount just prior to your in Car Driving.

Requirements

You have passed your Learner 1 written permit test

You are going to write your Learner 1 permit test within 60 days

You must have parental/guardian signature if under 18 yrs of age.

TRAINING VEHICLE

Our training vehicles are less that 5 yrs old. Students are training in a modern SUV training vehicles.

Our instructors are trained and certified by Newfoundland and Labrador Motor Registration.
